FAW Group Corporation (FAW) output and sold 225,921 and 231,881 complete vehicles in February, up by 296.5% and 379.2% year on year respectively.
Hongqi brand saw its Feb. sales rose 246.7% from the previous year to 13,009 units, and its production outputs soared 492.0% to 13,616 units. FAW Jiefang, the group’s truck subsidiary, built 39,258 vehicles in Feb. with a year-on-year growth of 114.2% and sold 41,690 vehicles with a year-on-year growth of 215.9%. Bestune brand’s outputs and sales in Feb. reached 3,762 units and 3,261 units, up 176.8% and 102.4% respectively.
With regard to joint ventures’ performance, FAW-Volkswagen reported its auto outputs and deliveries in Feb. amounted to 118,609 units and 120,666 units, surging 321.7% and 444.5% year on year respectively. FAW Toyota said its Feb. sales soared 655.8% over a year ago to 50,208 units, and its production outputs reached 48,164 units, increasing 655.8% compared with the same month last year. FAW Mazda output and sold 1,481 units and 2,018 units respectively in February.
