1. Common Scenarios-“False Alarms” Caused by Break-in and Foreign Objects

(1) Break-in of New Parts: Whether it is a new vehicle or a recent replacement of brake pads and discs, the braking system requires a period of “mutual adaptation.” As wear components that rely on friction to decelerate, new pads and discs do not yet have perfectly mated contact surfaces; slight noise is inevitable during braking, and initial braking force is relatively gentle.

(2) Foreign Object Intrusion: Small debris like sand or gravel entering the brake clearance can cause a sharp, piercing noise. If the noise appears briefly and then vanishes, no action is usually required; if it persists, try lightly tapping the brakes a few times to dislodge the object via vibration. If the issue remains, disassembly and cleaning are necessary.

(3) Hard Metal Particles: Due to material composition and manufacturing processes, some brake pads may contain embedded hard metal particles. These create sharp noises when rubbing against the disc and leave circular grooves that accelerate wear.
