1. Turning on Flat Roads
When driving on flat roads, the low road resistance makes it easy to unintentionally increase speed. Therefore, always release the accelerator pedal before entering a curve to allow the vehicle to decelerate naturally.
During the turn, choose the appropriate timing and speed based on the road width, the curve’s curvature, and actual traffic conditions. Pay special attention to coordinating steering wheel input with vehicle speed to ensure a smooth passage.
2. Turning in Blind Spots
When visibility is limited at the end of a curve, and the situation ahead cannot be predicted, you must proactively reduce speed in advance and avoid using conventional turning techniques.
A key rule to remember: when turning left, stay as close to the outside as possible; when turning right, stay close to the inside. This strategy maximizes your field of vision, helping you spot potential hazards early.
3. Complex Roads
Complex curves consist of multiple consecutive curves. The key to safe passage is ensuring a smooth transition to the last curve so you can quickly exit the curve area.
The operating steps include: first, slow down before entering the first curve; on each curve, follow the driving line of “outer side first, then inner side, then outer side again”; between curves, you can lightly apply the accelerator to maintain power; when approaching the last curve, once you see the exit road conditions, immediately adjust the direction and drive smoothly out, avoiding sudden turns and loss of control.
