Inspection Section
1. Tire Inspection
Check tire tread and pressure before winter to ensure a stable grip. Customers in cold northern regions can choose snow tires.
2. Light Inspection
Consider all headlights. A bright “eye” in foggy or snowy weather ensures better visibility.
3. Braking System
Check brake pad thickness and empty the air reservoir daily to prevent water from freezing and locking the brakes.
4. Battery Inspection
Low temperatures reduce battery capacity. Check the charge level; replace if necessary.
5. Rubber Component Inspection
Inspect door seals, water pipes, and oil pipes for hardening and cracking due to low temperatures. Replace any damaged parts immediately to prevent leaks or air ingress.
Maintenance Section
1. Engine Oil Grade
In extremely cold regions, use a special winter-grade engine oil.
2. Coolant Change
Select the coolant with the appropriate freezing point for the ambient temperature to keep the engine cool and ready for winter. Coolant should be changed every two years; routine checks and top-ups are sufficient. 3. Wheel System Inspection
If you notice unusual noises from the belts after rapid cooling, it’s recommended to have them checked and adjusted at a service station.
4. Windshield Washer Fluid Refill
Choose a negative-grade windshield washer fluid based on the ambient temperature. Using regular windshield washer fluid might cause it to freeze solid.
Starting Tips
1. Cold Start
Turn the key to the ON position first, wait for the preheating light on the dashboard to go out before starting the engine to avoid starting difficulties and black smoke.
2. Cold Engine Warm-up
Idle the engine for 3-5 minutes to allow it to fully warm up before engaging the gear and driving.
Driving Tips
1. Pay Attention to Weather Changes
Check the weather forecast before traveling and plan your route accordingly, avoiding icy or snowy roads.
2. Ensure Clear Visibility
Low temperatures can cause windows to fog up. Turn on the air conditioning’s heater and switch to defogger mode beforehand. Avoid wiping the windows with your hands, as this will affect visibility.
3. Maintain a larger following distance
In winter driving, the safe following distance increases. Please maintain twice the usual distance from the vehicle in front.
4. Keep snow chains handy
Carry snow chains with you at all times; use them immediately when encountering icy roads.
