FAW J6P 8×4 DUMP TRUCK
The J6P dump truck has a CA6DM2 11L dump-exclusive power, and its economy, power, reliability and durability have reached the international advanced level. It has outstanding advantages such as high power, long oil change, long three-guarantee period, low fuel consumption and sufficient safety, and is the most ideal supporting power for medium and heavy-duty dump trucks.
Combined with many years of experience in power chain matching, the fuel-saving configuration is selected, the low-speed power is improved by 10%, and the comprehensive fuel saving is 1~2L per 100 kilometers.
The J6P dump truck adopts a reinforced gearbox, a standard forced lubrication system, and a 50,000-kilometer long oil change cycle.
The new integrated reinforced axle has the strongest rear axle carrying capacity in the same class, and has a 50,000-kilometer long oil change like the gearbox, making operation more worry-free.
FAW J6P 8×4 Dump Truck Introduction
1. Cargo Box
The FAW J6P dump truck offers multiple cargo box length options: 5.6m, 6m, 6.2m, and 8.5m, with a standard width of 2.35m and height ranging from 1.2m to 1.5m.
It typically adopts a rear-tipping dump structure, powered by a front-mounted hydraulic lifting system for efficient unloading. The cargo bed floor is reinforced with seven longitudinal beams and closely spaced cross beams, ensuring strong load-bearing capacity and durability to meet heavy-duty transport demands.
The cargo box is made of high-strength steel, which reduces its own weight while improving wear resistance and anti-deformation capability, extending service life and making it suitable for a wide range of complex operating conditions.

2. Power System
The J6P dump truck is powered by a Xichai engine with a service life of up to 2 million km, offering horsepower options from 350–460hp. It delivers 1,700 N·m of torque at low speeds, and a peak torque of 2,300 N·m between 1000–1400 rpm. With a fuel consumption rate of only 186g/kW·h, it ensures excellent fuel economy while significantly improving operating efficiency and average speed.
It is paired with FAW’s own CA12TAX230A3 AMT transmission. The auxiliary gearbox comes with a synchronizer, while the main gearbox uses a sliding sleeve design with a twin-countershaft structure, ensuring stability and durability. The first gear ratio is 12.189, the 11th gear is a direct drive, and the highest gear is an overdrive with a ratio of 0.783. This setup not only provides powerful heavy-load starting and climbing capability, but also allows for efficient high-speed operation—ideal for dump truck duty cycles with heavy outbound loads and light return trips.
Most importantly, the AMT gearbox greatly reduces driver workload, especially during night operations, allowing drivers to focus more on road safety.

3. Chassis System
The front dual steering axles use 10-leaf spring suspension, combined with multi-leaf springs to ensure strong load-bearing capacity.
The rear axle is a 16-ton grade 300 hub-reduction axle, significantly improving off-road capability, and comes standard with an inter-axle differential lock. The axle integrates the reducer housing and bearing seat into a cast-iron housing, enhancing stability and reliability. Additionally, the top-mounted brake calipers reduce the risk of impact damage, ensuring braking safety.

4. Cab
The driver’s cab is designed with optimized visibility, offering a wider forward view with no blind spots for improved safety. The sun visor is extended and widened to effectively block glare from sunlight, further enhancing driving comfort and safety.
