The FAW J7 8×4 Refrigerator Truck is FAW’s flagship heavy‑duty cold chain solution for long‑haul and high‑capacity refrigerated transport.
It features a high‑insulation sealed box and a high‑efficiency refrigeration unit, enabling precise temperature control from -15°C to 18°C for fresh produce, frozen goods, and pharmaceuticals.
Equipped with a 560 hp CA6DM3-56E6 engine and a 12‑speed AMT gearbox, it delivers strong power and fuel efficiency. The 8×4 chassis with a lightweight 440 rear axle ensures high load capacity and stability. Its high‑roof air‑suspension cab provides superior comfort, while ABS, ASR, and 360° cameras enhance safety.

1. Cargo Box
The refrigerated box adopts high-density polyurethane foam insulation (80mm thickness) with seamless fiberglass bonding, ensuring exceptional airtightness and thermal stability. Measuring 9.6×2.42×2.55m, it delivers a 58m³ capacity, supporting adjustable temperatures from -18°C to +12°C. Fitted with Carrier or Thermo King refrigeration units, it maintains precise, constant temperatures for fresh produce, frozen goods, and pharmaceuticals.
2. Power Configuration
It is powered by FAW Xichai CA6DM2-46E6 (460HP, 11.05L) or optional CA6DM3-56E6 (560HP, 12.5L) diesel engines, meeting National VI emissions. The engine’s output peak torque of 2,320–2,600 Nm at 1,100–1,300 rpm, with a 100,000-km oil change interval for reduced maintenance. Matched with FAW 12-speed AMT all-aluminum transmissions, it ensures smooth shifting and high efficiency.
3. Chassis Configuration
The 8×4 chassis features a lightweight 440 rear axle with a 3.727 ratio and 8-airbag ECAS air suspension, providing strong load capacity and road adaptability. It is equipped with disc brakes, ABS, and TPMS for safety, plus wheel ends for long-term reliability. The wheelbase (2,000+4,500+1,350mm) optimizes weight distribution for stable handling.
4. Cab
The high-roof, flat-floor cab offers 2m+ headroom, with a spacious 85cm-wide sleeper for rest. It features a four-point air suspension system, a leather ventilated/heated driver’s seat, and a multifunctional steering wheel.
