FAW JH6 8×4 DUMP TRUCK
The FAW JH6 8×4 dump truck has undergone 13 rigorous inspection processes and been tested on a 3,377-meter full-scale test track.
It has also passed three extreme environmental tests and over 10,000 kilometers of reliability verification.
Equipped with FAW’s advanced data calibration technology and in-cylinder detonation technology, the vehicle offers leading performance and fuel economy, achieving even lower fuel consumption under typical operating conditions.
It is primarily used in construction transportation, particularly for hauling slag and construction waste.
FAW JH6 8×4 Dump Truck Introduction
1. Dump Truck Box
The dump truck cargo box adopts a reinforced frame structure, featuring high load-bearing capacity, lightweight design, and anti-expansion performance. Made of super wear-resistant steel, its durability is improved by 2.3 times, ensuring excellent abrasion resistance and toughness. The box is manufactured using automated welding technology, combined with machine vision inspection to achieve intelligent manufacturing and high-quality standards.
Multiple hydraulic lifting options are available—front lifting, middle lifting, and side lifting—each suitable for different working conditions.
The cargo box size can be customized. For example, with dimensions of 7800mm × 2350mm × 1500mm, the volume reaches 27.5 m³ and the load capacity is 25 tons, meeting the needs of most enterprises.
2. Power Configuration
The vehicle can be equipped with a Weichai WP10-generation engine or a Xichai engine, with multiple emission standards available. Maximum output power reaches 384 kW (500 hp), and maximum torque of 1900 N·m is achieved within the 1200–1300 rpm range.
The powertrain is matched with optional 10-speed or 12-speed FAW gearboxes, both of which are direct-drive transmissions.

3. Chassis Configuration
For the chassis, the front axle can be configured with either a 2020 axle or 2055 axle, matched with 10 leaf springs, ensuring reliable load capacity. To improve vehicle stability during transportation, a lateral stabilizer bar is equipped, enhancing performance on uneven roads.
The rear axle adopts a 300 hub-reduction axle with a speed ratio of 5.921. Since construction site environments are often harsh, the brake calipers are mounted in an upper position to avoid damage from ground impacts and ensure brake system safety.

The truck is equipped with Chaoyang brand tires, specifications 12.00R20, 18-ply rating. Chaoyang tires are well-known for their cost performance, with excellent fuel efficiency and low-noise performance.
To further enhance structural reliability, the longitudinal beams of the frame are roll-formed, improving both load-bearing and torsional strength. The balance suspension crossbeam has been reinforced, and the frame’s rear stiffness has been upgraded, ensuring that when the cargo box is lifted, the frame does not sway excessively—reducing rollover risks.

4. Cab
Dump trucks often operate in complex road conditions such as infrastructure projects, urban waste transport, and mining sites, where collisions and bumps are inevitable. Therefore, the bumper adopts a split design, making maintenance and replacement easier after minor collisions, thereby reducing operating costs. Additionally, a lower guard bar is installed beneath the bumper, offering both protection and greater durability.

To ensure reliable use of the parking air conditioning system, the vehicle is equipped with a 220Ah battery and a 110A high-current alternator. The onboard A/C has an independent power supply and a dedicated fuse system, ensuring that even if a fault occurs in the air conditioning circuit, it will not affect other electrical components.
