FAW JK6 8×4 DUMP TRUCK Introduction

1. Dump Truck Cargo Box
The JK6 8×4 dump truck cargo box is made of high-strength wear-resistant steel, ensuring high durability with an average service life increased by 20%. The welding sections of the cargo box are completed using high-precision robotic welding, which provides strong welds and a clean finish.

The cargo box can be customized in size, with optional reinforced structures. Customers can also choose between U-shaped or square buckets, while the lifting method can be selected from front, middle, or side types based on practical use.

2. Power System
The model is equipped with a Weichai WP8 series 8-liter engine, delivering 350 horsepower and 1400 Nm torque. Alternatively, customers can opt for the FAW Power 6DK2 series 8-liter 350 hp engine or a Yuchai engine.

It is matched with the Fast 10JSD140T 10-speed gearbox or the Shaanxi Gear 12JSD180T (aluminum). Both adopt a full synchronizer design, ensuring smooth shifting and reliable performance. The gearbox has a first gear ratio of 14.86, which greatly enhances heavy-load starting and vehicle traction capabilities.

3. Chassis System
At the rear axle, the truck is fitted with a lightweight wheel reduction axle with a ratio of 4.769. This wheel reduction axle combined with a large gear ratio provides excellent load capacity and reliable performance in muddy construction site conditions. The rear axle breather is designed on top, preventing water ingress during wading or rain.

Additionally, both the front and rear axles are equipped with 10-leaf spring suspension, ensuring sufficient load capacity. The rear suspension adopts an upper-mounted design with 4 U-bolts, which makes the structure more solid while also facilitating easier maintenance.

4. Vehicle Structure
Dump trucks often operate in harsh working conditions, requiring a high level of reliability. For this, the truck is equipped with a large-sized high-strength steel frame made with a roll-forming process and reinforced longitudinal beams. The suspension balance shaft and rear frame are also strengthened to improve the load-bearing and compression resistance of the chassis, as well as vehicle stability during cargo box lifting.

To adapt to muddy and uneven construction site terrains, as well as waterlogging conditions, the truck’s radiator, urea tank, air filter, and after-treatment system are all designed in raised positions. This enhances vehicle passability and improves overall operational efficiency.

5. Cabin
The cabin adopts a high-strength pressed steel frame from Baosteel, featuring excellent compression and impact resistance. It meets both EU ECER119 and Chinese JT/T1178 crash regulations, making it highly suitable for the complex and demanding conditions of earthwork dump truck operations.

For driving comfort, the cabin uses a four-point suspension system supplied by ZF’s Sachs brand. This ensures superior vibration damping and anti-roll performance. Additionally, it is equipped with ventilated and heated air suspension seats, offering excellent comfort during daily operations.
